Hello from the girls at Bishop Strachan school.  We are super excited to be part of this learning circle!  We are new to this forum and it is the first time we are participating in this project.  We are an all girls school in downtown Toronto, we are a Kindergarten to grade 12 school.

Our class is made up of grade 11 and 12 students, this course is World Geography and we are also currently studying Sustainability.  We are a boarding school and the oldest girls school in Canada.  We are Anglican based, however we have a diverse population in the school.  Our boarding community hosts girls from Asia, Caribbean, Europe, North America, Africa, Middle East (UAE).  We are a very spirit groups of girls that are passionate about the world.

There are 15 of us in the class: Amanda, Rachel, Georgia, Charlotte, Lauren, Alyssa, Jennifer, Ailish, Chloe, Hannah, Blair, Lindsay, Vivi, Blair and Julia.

We look forward to working with each of you!

Teacher Intro.

Hello to all, my name is Helen Pereira-Raso and I have been teaching at BSS at 6 years.  I have been teaching for 13 years and it is the first time I have been teaching at an all girls school.  BSS is an independent school in Toronto and really close to the downtown core.  Here is a link to our school's website: www.bss.on.ca. I teach Geography and I work with teachers on curriculum development.  I am new to the Global Teenage Project, but I am really excited at the possibilities of our online collaboration.  :)  We will be checking our wiki every Friday of every week.  We are also a laptop school so the girls and myself have access to the internet at any point during the school day.   One really important note to share is that our "spring break - March Break here in Ontario, is 2 weeks long.  The students will be away from school between March 9-23rd.  So we will only be able to respond to your questions upon our return to class on the 27th of March.
